Case Study
’Opal’ contacted us to request support managing the details of recovery from a scheduled surgery. She lived alone and did not have anyone close by that could step in to handle the details. She wanted to be sure that she had everything in place before surgery so that she could focus on recovery. ‘Opal’ also wanted to be sure that if for some reason her recovery doesn’t go well, she had a local advocate who was familiar with her medical history and could advocate for her wishes if she was unable to. Fortunately, through collaboration with us and her medical team, ‘Opal’ had a smooth recovery with the right amount of support to help her get back to fully functional. She was happy to be back on the pickleball court and returning to her active lifestyle.
