FAQS
What is solo aging?
Solo aging means you plan for later life without daily help from a spouse, partner, or nearby family. Our team fills that gap with clear plans and active local support.
Do I need to be sick to start?
No. The best time to plan is now. Early planning saves money, reduces stress, and helps you avoid preventable emergencies.
Will you replace my doctors?
No. Your doctors lead your medical care. We coordinate with them, prepare questions, track instructions, and help you follow through.
Can you help if I move to senior living?
Yes. We frequently work with individuals living in communities to supplement the outside support that they would otherwise be receiving from a trusted family member.
How do you charge?
We bill an hourly rate for services provided. Some clients choose to work off of a retainer.
Case Study
‘James’ is 75 and had congestive heart failure. He lived alone in Greensboro and wanted to avoid repeat hospital stays. He hired Abridge Care Managers to build a plan, attend cardiology visits to take notes, and set up a home safety plan. We organized his medications, introduced a visiting nurse program and created an after-hours contact list. When his symptoms changed, he called us to schedule a consult with his doctor and helped him adjust his planning. We collaborated with his doctor, his visiting nurse and engaged more in home supports which ultimately prevented an unnecessary hospital stay. ‘James’ and his team communicated easily and effectively to ensure he felt secure living at home.
